Homeowners, all too often, base their choice for contractor solely upon price, and that decision alone can put a major damper on an entire project. According to the Certified Contractors Network (CCN), an organization of which Opal belongs, complaints relating to home improvement professionals was the second highest, surpassed only by car sales. Of these complaints, the majority inclueded complaints about of contractor going out of business, poor workmanship, and work never being completed. A recent survey by CCN indicated that only 52 percent of homeowners would be willing to rehire their recent contractor, and only 66 percent of these homeowners belived their contractor to be honest, trustworthy, and qualified for the job. These horrifying figures are the direct result of choosing the most affordable, but not necessarily the most qualified contractor for your exterior remodeling project.
